Here are some pictures from the files of Denton Family researchers!

These two pictures were sent in by Jane Edmonds.  The first is a picture of her maternal grandmother, Minnie Denton (1905-1935) who married George Grigery about 1932.  The second photo is of Minnie's children, Marie and John Grigery.
Jane would love some help fitting Minnie into the Denton Family.

Herschel Denton sent along these pictures of his great-uncle, Hiram Fugett, Jr. The first one is of him and Bertha Belle Fugett Gilbert.

This is a younger picture of Hiram with his children.

Shirley Haley sent this picture.  It is of Joseph Grove Denton, son of Jacob and Elizabeth Spangler Denton and Joseph's wife, Margarite Calhoun Denton.  Joseph Grove Denton was born in 1810 in Jefferson CO, TN and died in 1896 in Smith CO, TX.  Margarite was born ca. 1813 and died in 1900 in Smith CO, TX.  Thanks for sending in these pictures, Shirley!

Shirley also sent in the following  picture of (left to right), Howard Denton, Winston Denton, Odes Denton, Laura Denton Stone, Tom Denton, Walter Denton, Bert Denton, Lessie Denton Tacker and Roscoe Alexander Denton.  Roscoe was born in 1890, son of Isaac Melton and Dora Stone Denton.  I am unsure of the relationships of the others, but hope to find out soon.

Tom Denton sent in the next four pictures of his family.  Thanks, Tom!

These handsome gentlemen are Leonard P. Denton and his brother, John Calvin Denton, in 1910.   These are grandsons of Jeremiah "Little Jerry" Denton.

Taken in Roswell, NM, in 1913 are (left to right):  Georgia Gertrude Denton, Robert Emmett Lee Denton, Alice Lee Denton, Leonard Mitchell Denton and Lou Ada (Mitchell) Denton.   Robert is Tom Denton's grandfather and he is the son of Leonard P. Denton in the first picture.  The baby in this picture, Leonard Mitchell Denton, is Tom's father.

Here is a later portrait of the mother and children in the second picture.  This is dated 1918 and was taken in California.

This photograph is of Tom Denton's great-grandparents, Leonard Preston Denton (1855-1931) and Rosanna Lindsey Denton.  Leonard also appears in the first picture.

The following three pictures were sent by Doris McDuffee Denton.

Jonathan Denton (1840-1904) and wife Eliza Jane Campbell (1836-1904).  Both were born in Shelby CO, IL and married in 1867.  They both died in Macon CO, IL.  Jonathan is the grandson of Jonathan Denton and Susannah Conlee.

On the left is their daughter, Hattie Denton (1872-1932).  She was born in Montgomery CO, IL and died in Indiana.  Her husband was Edward R. McKeefer.

Here is their son, George Harvey Denton, born 1870 in Montgomery CO, IL who died in 1918 in La Junta CO, CO and his wife, Alice Nihiser.  They were married in Macon CO, IL in 1892.
