Here is a great mystery that needs your help! The following three pictures were sent by Marion Paris Marriott. She is unsure whether they are three different people, two people or all the same. What do you think? She believes that they (he) may be grandsons of Thomas Denton, brother of David Barrow Denton, who moved from KY to TX sometime in the 1830s. Can anyone identify them?? (Sue thinks they are the same person! Two of the pictures say what looks like either I.A. or I.M. Denton.)
The following three pictures were sent by Dean Denton of Webster, NY. These are pictures from his great-grandparents, Roswell (1845-1923) and Mary Louise Fenn Denton's albums. We do not know who these people are, but the dates are in the 1890s. Can you help?
Can you help us find out about this man? His name is Lige (Elijah?) Denton. He was born around 1880-85. I believe in Tenn. He died on Jan. 8, 1938 in Coffee County, Alabama. He had a brother named Gilbert. His granddaughter is hoping to find out who his parents were. Thanks!
Thanks to Bennie and Janice Denton (bdent@iswt.com) for these two pictures of unknown Denton family members.
Thanks to Geraldine Wilson for sending along the first two pictures taken from "Perry Co. TN, A Pictorial History"
Please email Sue Montgomery if you can place these folks! Thanks so much. |
