 I SAW BABY JESUS

Last night I dreamed I traveled into history
To where I lived in the pages of this story.
I sailed back through time to a cold Bethlehem night
To stand in the starlight of a heart warming sight ---

I saw a little babe lying in a stable,
Using a manger of soft hay as his cradle.
I heard God's Angels sing the first Noels to us,
I saw baby Jesus living his first Christmas!

I watched the three wise men as they bowed down to him
And then quietly praised him again and again.
I saw the guiding light of their star up above
And felt Jesus warm my very soul with his love ---

I saw a little babe lying in a stable,
Using a manger of soft hay as his cradle.
I heard God's Angels sing the first Noels to us,
I saw baby Jesus living his first Christmas!

I watched as the shepherds slowly gathered around
And then marveled at the great wonder they had found.
I came to feel peace few will ever understand
When I slowly reached down and touched his tiny hand ---

I saw a little babe lying in a stable,
Using a manger of soft hay as his cradle.
I heard God's Angels sing the first Noels to us,
I saw baby Jesus living his first Christmas!
